The Heavenly Gates Stood Open

The heavenly gates stood open,
A gentle voice said come
And with farewell unspoken
He calmly entered home.

This appears to be from a poem, but there seem to be many different versions, with slightly altered words, but I can't see an author.

Version 1
The pearly gates were opened
A gentle voice said 'come'.
And with farewell unspoken
He gently entered home
His smiling way and pleasant face
Are a pleasure to recall
He had a kinly word for each
And died beloved by all.
Some day we hope to meet him;
Some day, we know not when;
To clasp his hand in the better land;
Never to part again.

Version 2
The Golden Gates did open,
A gentle voice said “Come”,
And with farewell unspoken,
We said “Thy Will be done”.
